Global Appeal 2025

Regional overviews

In this section, you will find an overview of needs across the seven regions where UNHCR works and population planning figures for 2025.

Sudanese refugees walk along a dry riverbed near the Farchana settlement. They are part of a group of Sudanese refugees and Chadian farmers who work side-by-side thanks to an innovative project in Farchana to extend the water supply for the refugee and host community. With the increased water available, farmers are able to grow millet, sourghum, beans and watermelon after rainy season, and vegetables like onions and carrots in the hotter months. They produce enough to feed their families and to sell at market to earn an income. © UNHCR/Andrew McConnell
