The limited resources will be only used to maintain the existing facilities without assurances of further improvement of those facilities including improved medical/health services to new arrivals including those with specific needs which might negatively impact on the well-being of the people of concern.
The establishment of new reception centres will not be possible at this point, and as a result the number of new refugees entering Tanzania will not be captured in a comprehensive manner. This will expose them to protection risks, such as detention, due to the law preventing refugees from residing in communities, including border areas.
